Evening Group

For Thursday 4th : Listen to Part 2 of the RD. Be able to tell orally Parts 1 and 2 through questions and answers using all the question words. We are going to work the story in the past, and you'll have to invent info as you don't have it. Such as: age, price, etc. Besides be able to use "to" and "for".

First Group Works: September 11th; 12th and 17th;  *

Sample of the Written Work:

Anna writes a letter to her family telling them what happened to her. (Include Parts 1; 2 and 3 of the R:D.)

Sample of the Oral Work:

Tell Parts 1: 2 and 3 of the R.D. through questions and answers. You must use all the interrogative words. Besides you must make some questions  focusing the subject and questions with detailed facts. Use comparatives and superlatives, too.

Second Group Work: October 1st; 2nd and 3rd *

After the Second Group Work

Some tips for making questions:

Every time you make a question remember: 

It isn't enough to change your tone: 

"You get your suitcase?" X (You are thinking in Spanish)
You should say: "Did you get your suitcase?" 

"You went to the Club?" X (You are thinking in Spanish)
You should say: "Did you  go to the club?"

You must change the words order when a verb is composed by two words: 

" Have been you worried?" X
You should say: "Have you been worried?" (The subject goes between the two words verb)

"Did lose you the suitcase?" X
You should say: "Did you lose the suitcase?" (The subject goes between the two words verb)
  

If you make a subordinated question, construct it in an affirmative form:

"Do you remember where did you leave the suitcase?" X
You should say: "Do you remember where you left the suitcase?"  (The subordinated question won't take auxiliaries, the verb will go in the tense you need, and you won't change the words order)

"Do you know what did the suitcase have?" X
 You should say: "Do you know what the suitcase had?" (The subordinated question won't take auxiliaries, the verb will go in the tense you need, and you won't change the words order)

Pronouns after a verb or a preposition:

Polly helped she. X
You should say: Polly helped her. 

Corsellis listened to they. X 
 You should say: Corsellis listened to them.
